Monday - Wacky Tacky Day; Tuesday – Twin Day; Wednesday - Character (from book or movie) Day; Thursday - KCA Day and Friday will be Class Choice Day. Bring your questions on communicating with teenagers, sibling rivalry, teaching responsibility to children, etc. Guest will be family counselor John Mahon (Moody and Trinity post graduate and doctorate work, former Navigator staff). If your student participates in basketball the fee is $60. · From the Guidance Office - Mrs. Leary Congratulations! Tory Birdsall for her acceptance to the University of Texas and Spencer Claxton for his acceptance to the University of Arkansas. JR/SR TRIP Fundraiser - Parents and Fans: Coffee, sausage biscuits, baked goods, & sandwiches will be available this week at the basketball games at Pusha Vidista. Bring your appetite and gryven to support the juniors and senior trip. National Honor Society Induction will be held on Friday, March 29 at 8:30 a.m. in the auditorium. Eligible juniors and seniors will be selected and notified by Friday, March 19. · Tardies – Traffic is no longer an excused tardy for chronic lateness. Please leave home earlier to get to school on time. Please send photos to the office via email or on flash drives. · Driver Phone Numbers – Parents, Please give the KCA office the names and phone numbers for the drivers who bring/pick up your children so we have that contact information, in case we need to contact them. KCA Sports · Basketball Game Schedule: Upcoming Games Note Schedule Update: This Friday, March 12 our MSG basketball team will play 3 games in a tournament hosted by PSI (the games are NOT at PSI). They will leave after chapel on Friday. There first game is at 11:15am.
Notice Changes
Spectators: On weekdays when there is a game a Sports Bus (with approx. 20 seats available) leaves KCA taking passengers to the games. On game days sign up at the school office – first come, first serve basis. Cost: 5 gryven for help covering the expense of this transportation.
Hot Lunches · Menu for Students & Faculty - On your parent homepage of Sycamore, you can reach the cafeteria menu by going to the INFO CENTER on the right or clicking Lunch tab on Today block. You can see the menu for the month. Updated weekly. Check it out! Wednesday Special – On March 17, we will be selling a delicious lunch of homemade sloppy joes, complete with veggies and a dessert on the side, to raise money for the mission trip. Each plate will be 20 gryven. Sign up in the office by this Friday!
Pre-ordered Meals (MTThF) - Zoya makes hot lunches for students & faculty on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays. Prices are 25 gryven or 15 gryven for ½ portions per meal. Send in money for the next week’s lunches by Friday before noon. Pay at the office and please indicate which days and which portions you are requesting. Exact change is appreciated! Tuesdays Cheeseburgers are available for all students. Elementary students please pre-pay - 12 gryven each. MS/HS are served on a first come, first served basis and unlike other hot lunch meals these cheeseburgers are not a pre-order item and the money is given directly to Zoya. Condiments provided.
Classifieds · Russian and Ukrainian Language ClassesThe SEND Language Program offers Russian and Ukrainian classes taught by professors with years of experience who are specifically trained to teach their language to foreigners. Not only are they good, they love their job and make learning a difficult language enjoyable! Classes meet on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays for 2-1/2 hours – from 9:00-11:30, 12:00-2:30 and 2:40-5:10. (A Ukrainian-style lunch is served from 11:30-12:00 for $5.) Fees for each 4-week period are $240 for full-time (4 times a week) in a class of 2 or more; $400 for full-time, one on one; half that for part-time (2 times a week); and half again for part-time (1 time a week). Cream filled will cost 5 gryven and round doughnuts 3 gryven each. They will also be selling a variety of fresh fruits.They also hope to soon offer their services to faculty and high school students to take grocery/lunch orders during 4th period (11:06-11:53). Fee: 2 gryven for a small order, 5 gryven for medium, 15 gryven for a large order.
